Welcome to ALMA514
14 And now behold, I ask of you, my brethren of the church, have ye spiritually been born of God? Have ye received his image in your countenances? Have ye experienced this mighty change in your hearts?
(Alma 5:14)

My name is Doug Morby, and I have lived many years filled with a wealth of life experiences. I have made my share of mistakes, but I strive to improve every day. This website is not primarily about Alma 5:14, but it is one of my favorite scriptures, and it provides an easy domain to remember: Alma514.
To me, Alma chapter 5 is about being born again and making the conscious decision to change who you are. It’s about physically and spiritually becoming a different person, with a genuine desire to do good and serve both God and humanity. In many ways, it’s about losing yourself in the work of the Lord while still navigating this world. My goal with this website is to share my experiences so that others can learn from them and choose their own paths. As for me and my house, we will serve the Lord.
I am a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. Although I have thoroughly studied several other religions, I am convinced of the validity and divinity of the Lord Jesus Christ. I will be discussing my faith and comparing it to others, highlighting the many commonalities we share across different beliefs. I believe we should seek common ground and refrain from criticizing one another for our beliefs. As stated in the Articles of Faith, “We claim the privilege of worshiping Almighty God according to the dictates of our own conscience, and allow all men the same privilege, let them worship how, where, or what they may” [2].
